In my academic career, I study and teach the histories of theater and music. But I’m also active as a practitioner in both fields.
In theater, I work mainly as a dramaturg — meaning that I serve as the historical consultant, developer, story editor, and/or script consultant, depending on the needs of the production. More about that here!
I also have a lot of experience coaching actors who have to learn dialogue in foreign languages.
And I perform as much music as I can get away with.
